Employment at St. Paul & the Redeemer

Open Positions

Staff Singer (currently seeking TENOR beginning Spring of 2024)

Our staff singers are trained professionals who are comfortable singing in a variety of styles. The primary purpose of the position is to provide leadership within a section of eager volunteers. While some solo and small ensemble work will be included, Staff Singers endeavor at all times to engender a relational leadership style over a presentational one. Collegiality, good humor, and comfort instructing amateurs are essential.

Staff Singers are called for one Thursday rehearsal (7:00-8:40) and one Sunday liturgy (9:00a call, 10:00a-11:00a liturgy) during the program year (September through mid-June). View a complete job description.

To apply, send an email to Director of Music Mark Bilyeu (bilyeu@sprchicago.org) with the subject line “Staff Singer.” Please include a resume and links to representative recordings if available.

Although our current staff roster might be full, we welcome materials from musicians who would like to be considered for temporary or substitute work through the year.

Substitutes may be called any time a regular teacher is not available. View a complete job description.
